Boy, 10, killed in road accident in capital's Hazaribagh area
A ten-year-old boy was killed today after an auto-rickshaw hit his bicycle in Dhaka's Hazaribagh area.
The accident happened after a bus hit the auto-rickshaw, forcing its driver to lose control and ram into the bicycle of the deceased, witnesses said.
The victim, Mohammad Faisal, was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital in critical condition where on-duty doctors declared him dead around 6:00pm. The body was sent to the hospital morgue for an autopsy.
Faisal was a second grader of a local school and lived at Bou Bazar area with his parents.
Both the bus and auto-rickshaw were seized but both the drivers fled the scene, AK Azad, sub-inspector of Hazaribagh Police Station, said.
