Sayeed Khokon weeps for Annisul Huq

Dhaka South City Corporation Mayor Sayeed Khokon today wept over the passing away of Dhaka North City Corporation Mayor Annisul Huq.

Annisul Huq was a strong and courageous person, always thinking about solution to the sufferings of city dwellers, the DSCC mayor said.

“A person like Annisul is not born in the society every day. It is an irreplaceable loss to the society,” Sayeed Khokon told journalists at his Banani residence this evening.

The DSCC mayor also extending sympathy to the bereaved family members, and at one stage, he shed few drops of tears while recalling the memories of Annisul Huq.

“I was his (Annisul) close companion. We were very alike in thinking always about public interest. I have gained inspiration from him. I am very shocked by his death,” Khokon said.

“We the two together have tried introduce a trend to bring a positive change for development,” he added. “It is unacceptable that a man of his standard would leave all of a sudden.”
