Woman’s body found at hotel room in Dhaka

Police recovered the body of a young woman from a residential hotel at Adabor in Dhaka early today.

She has been strangled to death, doctors at Dhaka Medical College Hospital confirmed it after autopsy.

The woman mentioned her name as Beauty Akhter, 20, in the registry book while boarding the hotel, said Sheikh Shahinur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Adabor Police Station.

Beauty along with a man hired the room of the hotel on Ring Road of Shamoli introducing themselves as husband and wife, the OC said. 

As the man, named Monir, could not be traced for a long time, the hotel authorities inspected the room and recovered the body inside the toilet at 3:00am, he added.

Informed, police recovered the body and sent it to Dhaka Medical College morgue for autopsy.
