2 killed in Kushtia AL infighting

Two people were killed and 25 others injured in a clash that broke out between factions of Awami League (AL) in Sadar upazila of Kushtia district.

The deceased, Nazrul Islam, 39, and Billal Hossain, 32, were both AL members, our Kushtia correspondent reports quoting Nasiruddin, officer-in-charge (OC) of Kushtia Model Police Station.

The clash that broke out at 2:30pm in Bakhoil village of the upazila was still going on when this report was filed at 3:15pm, reports the correspondent.

Meanwhile, in Magura, at least 10 people were injured in a clash between supporters of AL and Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) at Sreekol Bazar in Sreepur upazila, UNB reports.
