12kg gold found inside private car in Jessore

Police have seized 110 gold bars weighing 12.83 kilogrammes from an abandoned private car in Bagharpara upazila in Jessore early today.

The law enforcers seized the private car from Jessore-Narail road on September 2 but found the gold after searching its gearbox today, our Jessore correspondent reports quoting Foyuddin, officer-in-charge of Bagharpara Police Station.

The private car was used for mugging, the OC said.
