The government has sent two additional deputy inspector generals (DIG) of police on forced retirement.

The additional DIGs are: Yeasmin Gafur, commandant of Special Branch Training School of Dhaka, and Bakhtiar Alam of Police Academy of Sarda in Rajshahi.

Ministry of Home Affairs issued a circular signed by its Deputy Secretary Elias Hossain on Sunday in this regard.

In the circular, the ministry stated that they were sent on retirement as per the Public Servants (Retirement) Act, 1974.

The home ministry circular, however, stated that both officers would enjoy all kinds of retirement facilities as per rules.
