2 guards burnt at Gulshan

Two security guards of Gulshan Youth Club were burnt in a fire set by police to destroy seized goods in Gulshan area of Dhaka early today.

Injured security guards Masud Rana, 42, and Akram, 40, were rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital around 3:00am.

Police were destroying substandard telcom powder and perfume near Gulshan Youth Club, opposite to Gulshan Police Station in the early hours today.

A mobile court seized the powder and perfume conducting a drive in Gulshan thana area recently.

When the law enforcers set fire to the packets of the powder and perfume, the two security guards, who were standing near the scene, received burn injuries, said Sub-inspector Afroza, duty officer of Gulshan Police Station.
