2 Bangladeshi peacekeepers in Africa killed in road crash
Two soldiers of Bangladesh Army working in the UN peacekeeping mission in Central African Republic were killed in a road crash Saturday evening.
The deceased were identified as Sainik Arzan Howladar and Sainik Md Ripon Mia, said a press release of the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).
They were escorting a military and nonmilitary convoy when a wood-laden heavy vehicle lost control and caused the accident in Yaloke area around 6:45pm local time.
Two other Bangladeshi peacekeepers injured in the crash – Sainik Md Jamal Uddin Mollah and Sainik Md Majahidul Islam – were taken to Bangui for treatment.
