3 die in Bogra road crash

Three people including two garment workers were killed and 10 injured in a head-on collision between two buses on Dhaka-Rangpur highway in Shibganj upazila of Bogra this morning.
The deceased are Abul Kalam Azad, 36, of Palashbari in Gaibandha and Ashraful, 28, and Abdul Kader, 30, of Ulipur upazila in Kurigram, reports our Bogra correspondent quoting police.
Enamul Haque, officer-in-charge of Gobindoganj Highway Police Station, said a Kurigram-bound bus carrying garment workers from Konabari of Gazipur collided with an oncoming bus at Pakurtola Bus Stand around 6:00am, leaving one passenger dead and 12 other injured.
The injured passengers were rushed to Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital in Bogra where two died later, said Shah Alam, a sub-inspector of Bogra Sadar Police station.
Among the deceased, Ashraful and Abdul Kader are garment workers.
