Law enforcers today claimed the biggest ever seizure of contraband yaba tablets in drives through Dhaka and Chittagong and detained three persons in this connection.

Among the three is Ali Ahmed, who is said to be a top smuggler, said Maj Maksudul Alam, deputy director of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) media wing.

“A total of 28 lakh pieces of yaba have been seized in special drives through Dhaka and Chittagong,” he said. “This is the biggest yaba haul of the country yet.”
