3 killed as bus runs over motorcycle in Feni

Three people were killed and 10 others injured after a bus ran over a motorcycle at Dagonbhuiyan upazila of Feni this afternoon.

The deceased were identified as Mejba Uddin Tanny, 28, Omar Amzad Roky, 23, and Sujan, 24, residents of Chhanpur village of the upazila, our Feni correspondent reports quoting Anwarul Azim officer-in-charge of Dagonbhuiyan Police Station.      

A passenger bus of Sugandha Paribahan hit the motorcycle near Matubhuiyan Bridge on Feni-Noakhali road around 6:00pm leaving the trio critically injured, the OC said.

Tanny, who was riding the motorbike died on his way to Dagonbhuiyan Upazila Health Complex while Roky and Sujan met the same fate at Feni Sadar Hospital, the police official added.

The injured bus passengers were given treatment at Dagonbhuiyan Upazila Health Complex.
