3 ‘traffickers’ arrested in Teknaf

Police today claimed arrest of three listed human traffickers from Teknaf upazila of Cox’s Bazar in view of the worldwide concern over human trafficking.

The arrestees were identified as Abul Kalam, Md Hossain, and Abdul Gafur, all from Teknaf, reports our Cox’s Bazar correspondent quoting police.

Police conducted a special raided at their houses at 2:00am early today and arrested them, said Ataur Rahman Khondokar, officer-in-charge of Teknaf Model Police Station.

“They are accused in cases filed over human trafficking. They will be produced at court,” he said.
