37th BCS viva Nov 29, 38th preliminary test Dec 29
The viva voce of the 37th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examination will begin from November 29 while the preliminary test of the 38th BCS will be held on December 29.
Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) today announced the dates after a special meeting at its office in Dhaka this noon.
Meanwhile, the authority has put forward a proposal to the public administration ministry bringing changes in “terms and condition” of the 39th BCS examination, reports the Bangla daily Prothom Alo.
The 39th BCS will be a special one and decision has been taken in this regard and necessary papers have been sent to the respective ministry seeking its approval, the daily reports quoting PSC Chairman Dr Muhammad Sadique.
The PSC wanted to take the preliminary test of the 38th BCS on December 21 this year but failed as the Rangpur City Corporation election is scheduled to be held on the same day, Sadique said.
PSC published the written test result of the 37th BCS examination on October 25. A total of 5,379 candidates passed the written test. The written test of the 37th BCS was ended on May 23.
On September 30, 2016, the preliminary test of the 37th BCS was held where 2,43,476 candidates took part. Of them, 8523 candidates qualified in the test.
