6,088 successful in 35th BCS written test

The Public Service Commission (PSC) today published the written test results of the 35th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examinations with 6,088 candidates coming out successful.

Of them, 3,228 have passed in the general cadre category, 1,861 in the general and technical/professional categories and 926 in the technical/professional category, according to the result available on www.bpsc.gov.bd.

The PSC preserves the right to modify the published result if the results require any modification on logical grounds, said the press release in its website.

The viva-voce of the candidates will begin on January 31.

More than 20,000 applicants sat for the test across the country on September last year, vying for 1,803 vacant government posts of different cadres.

The first-round exam was held on March 6 last year with around 2.44 lakh applicants sitting for it.

The PSC published the circular for 35th BCS examination on September 23, 2014.
