4 killed in Sirajganj road crash

At least four people were killed and 20 others injured as a bus and a truck collided head-on near west zone of the Bangabandhu bridge in Sirajganj this evening.

The identity of the deceased, all were the passengers of the bus, could not be known immediately.

The accident took place in Konabari area around 6:15pm when the Bogra-bound passenger bus from Dhaka collided head on with the Dhaka-bound truck, said Md Rakibul Islam, officer-in-charge of Bangabandhu Bridge West Zone Police Station.

Four people died on the spot while 20 others were injured, our Pabna correspondent reports quoting the OC.

The injured are admitted to Sirajganj General Hospital, he added.
