45 officials promoted to SP

The government has promoted a total of 45 additional superintendents of police to the position of superintendent of police in different districts across the country.

The home ministry in circular today said the order will take effect immediately.

On April 7, the government promoted 134 police officials across the country. In addition, 113 senior assistant police superintendents have been made additional superintendent of police.

The government has also promoted a total of 227 joint secretaries, 288 deputy secretaries and 321 senior assistant secretaries in the biggest ever promotion spree in civil service within the last three months.
