7 murder case shifted to another court
One of two cases filed in connection with the sensational seven-murder in Narayanganj has been sent to the District and Session Judge’s Court for starting charge framing hearing.
Judge Ashique Imam of Judicial Magistrate Court passed the order in the case filed by a colleague of Victim Chandan Sarkar, our Narayanganj correspondent report quoting Md Habibur Rahman, inspector of court police.
Narayanganj city panel mayor Nazrul Islam, his driver and three associates, senior lawyer Chandan Sarker and his driver were abducted on April 27 from Dhaka-Narayanganj Link Road.
Their bodies were found floating in the Shitalakkhya a few days later.
Nearly a year after the bloodcurdling incident, police on April 8 submitted the charge sheet in the case, naming 35 people, including prime accused Nur Hossain and three sacked Rab officials.
