All govt services in ‘2041’

The government is going to introduce a short code of ‘2041’ to offer all the government services under a single platform.

ICT division will establish the service very soon to take suggestions, advice and to disseminate different ideas from the citizens, said State Minister for ICT Division Zunaid Ahmed Palak at his office today.

ICT division selected 17 service sectors to add on the list of ‘2041’ and initially they can offer services only in 10 sectors.

For offering the service, ICT division signed four memorandums of understanding with four government agencies.

“Remember only one number- is our slogan to serve the people. We have other innovative ideas which will come next,” Palak said.

Earlier, Palak requested for two short codes- ‘2021’ and ‘2041’- for his plan, but Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission approved only the second one.
