Ansar man found dead in Savar

The body of an Ansar member was found hanging inside Savar Upazila Health Complex compound, on the outskirts of Dhaka, early today.

The deceased was identified as Sirajul Islam, 25, son of Bachchu Mia of Chauhali Upazila in Sirajganj, our correspondent reports quoting Mohsinul Kadir, officer-in-charge of Savar Model Police Station Station.

Sirajul, who was posted at the health complex, might have committed suicide as he was suffering from a mental health condition for a long time, Mezbah Uddin, a family planning officer of Savar, told the correspondent quoting the deceased’s family.

On information, police rushed to the spot and recovered the body hanging from the ceiling in a room of the health complex, the OC said adding that the door was locked from inside.

The body has been sent to Dhaka Medical College morgue for autopsy, he also said.
