Attempted murder charge: SQ Chy’s son lands in jail

Humam Quader Chowdhury, son of BNP leader and war criminal Salauddin Quader Chowdhury, was sent to jail today in connection with an attempted murder case.

Humam appealed for bail but the court turned down the plea.

Metropolitan Magistrate Meher Nigar Suchana passed the order rejecting his bail plea after Gulshan police produced him before it this afternoon.

The case was filed against him with Gulshan Police Station in July 2008.

Dhanmondi Police Station Officer-in-Charge Nur-e-Azam Mia told The Daily Star that Humam was arrested around 10:30am this morning from his Dhanmondi 10/A residence in connection with the case filed with Gulshan Police Station.
