A baby was killed in rain-triggered landslide in Bandarban Sadar upazila this morning.
Three others were injured after large chunks of soil broke loose and fell upon settlements below hills in separate areas, our local correspondent reports.
For all latest news, follow The Daily Star's Google News channel. The victim was identified as Tamjid Hossain, one-and-half-year-old son of Inu Haque Chowdhury of Ghonapara in New Gulshan area.
Ranajir Dutta, a local fire service official, confirmed the casualties and said eight homes were quashed in separate landslides in New Gulshan area, Langi Para and Banarupa Para areas.
