BAF helicopter makes emergency landing in Ctg
A helicopter of the Bangladesh Air Force was forced to make an emergency landing at a paddy field at Mirsarai upazila in Chittagong this afternoon after its tool box caught fire.
The helicopter, an Mi-17, made the emergency landing at a paddy field in Mithachhara area of the upazila around 3:50pm after its toolbox caught fire, our correspondent reports quoting an official at BAF Base Zahurul Haque in Chittagong.
The helicopter, which had three people onboard including the two pilots, was heading towards Chittagong from Dhaka. None was injured in the incident, said Bipul Debnath, second officer of Jorarganj Police Station.
On information, firefighters and police rushed to the spot to conduct rescue operation, he said.
Further details were not available when the report was filed around 7:00pm.
