BNP condemns BCL attack on quota reformists

Political opposition BNP has condemned yesterday’s attack on quota reformists.
Describing activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) as hired goons of the prime minister, Rizvi Ahmed, senior joint secretary general of the party, said the student wing of Awami League is enforcing one-party rule at educational centres.
The BNP leader also criticised the government for “letting loose its student goons” on the quota reformists and said the Chhatra League is being used to harass and repress common students.
Speaking at a press conference at the party's Nayapaltan central office, Dhaka, Rizvi also criticised Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina over her assurance to scrap the quota system.
"Accepting quota reformists' demand was nothing but a joke of the prime minister," Rizvi said.
