Biman opens probe over Yangon crash landing
Biman Bangladesh Airlines has formed a probe committee over the crash landing of its Dash-8 aircraft in Myanmar’s Yangon yesterday.
Shakil Meraj, general manager (public relations) of national flag carrier Biman, made the disclosure at a press conference this morning.
Captain Shoeb Chowdhury, chief of Biman’s flight safety chief, will be probing how the plane went off the runway during landing amid bad weather.
All the 35 on board that flight have been given treatment under state arrangement and are currently out of any danger, Meraj told The Daily Star.
A press release of Biman today said a special flight of Biman – BG 1050 – went to Yangon last night and returned with 17 waiting passengers around 4:50am.
