Biman gets new Boeing 737-800
Biman Bangladesh Airlines today got its fifth Boeing 737-800 aircraft making the total number or its aircraft to 14.
The plane, leased from the aviation lease and finance company ALAFCO in Kuwait, landed at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport around 3:25am this morning, according to a press release from Biman.
Another plane of the same model is also scheduled to be added to Biman's fleet in June this year.
Biman has taken the initiative of adding these new aircraft to its fleet to expand its network and increase routes, the release added.
In line with this initiative, Biman Bangladesh Airlines has already resumed its Dhaka-Delhi direct flights on May 13, over four years after it suspended flight operations on the route.
