Bogura AL leader found dead

Police recovered the “slit-throat” body of a union-level Awami League leader in Adamdighi upazila of Bogura this morning.

Deceased Nazrul Sardar, 55, of Mandirpukur village, was the publicity affairs secretary of Chapapur union unit Awami League, said Monirul Islam Monir, officer-in-charge of Adamdighi Police Station.

Locals spotted the “slit-throat” body inside a paddy field around 11:00am and informed police, the OC told our local correspondent.

On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Bogura Sadar Hospital for autopsy, he said adding that they were trying to dig out the motive behind the murder.
