Budget session begins June 1
Parliament will go into the Budget session on June 1, said a Parliament Secretariat press release.
President Abdul Hamid today convened the parliament session exercising his power bestowed upon him by article 72 (1) of the Constitution.
The budget session, which will be the 11th session of the present 10th parliament, will begin at 5:00pm, the release also said.
Finance Minister AMA Muhith is scheduled to place budget for the fiscal year 2016-17 in the parliament on June 2.
Before the House goes into the budget session, the meeting of Business Advisory Committee will be held at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban with Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury in the chair to fix duration and businesses of the session.
The last session of parliament was prorogued on May 5 having 9 working days.
