Cattle trader’s body found on Naogaon border
The body of a cattle trader was found on Kolmudanga frontier in Sapahar upazila of Naogaon early today.
The cattle trader was identified as Shahidul Islam, 3o, son of Golam Mostafa of Kolmudanga, reports our Chapainawabganj correspondent.
On information, the BGB members recovered the body from 1,200 yards inside Bangladesh territory, said Lt Col Rafiqul Hasan, commander of the Patnitala BGB.
The body bore stab injury marks, the BGB official said.
Shahidul went out of home for bringing Indian cattle Wednesday night.
BGB suspect Shahidul’s cohorts might have killed him over internal feud and dumped the body on the border around 4:30am.
Jahangir Alam, officer-in-charge of Sapahar Police Station, said the body was sent to Naogaon General Hospital for autopsy.
