Cop among 2 killed in Comilla road crash

Two people including a constable of highway police were killed and three others injured in a road accident on Dhaka-Chittagong highway in Eliotganj area of Daudkandi upazila early Monday.
Sergeant Moniruzzaman, in-charge of Eliotganj Highway Police outpost, said the accident took place when a Chittagong-bound covered van hit a stationary pick-up van carrying a patrol team of Eliotganj Highway police in the area around 5:00am, leaving Rokon Uddin, 27, a constable of the police outpost dead on the spot.

The incident also left three others, including two police constables injured.
