Dev project to be taken for enclave people: Minister

Panning Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal today said his ministry is going to start necessary works soon for taking a project aiming to improve the lifestyle of the enclave dwellers.

A high-powered committee will supervise the process of work on the necessary project for the welfare of enclave people, he said, adding that the project will be taken following a directive of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

In a message of felicitation ahead of official enclave swap, Mustafa Kamal also greeted the people of the enclaves of both India and Bangladesh for getting the full rights of citizens of an independent country from midnight today.

From the midnight, the national flags of both India and Bangladesh will be hoisted at their respective enclaves putting an end to the 68-year long agony and sufferings of the enclave people.

"For this I greet the enclave dwellers and wish a better life for them."

The planning minister also said he had talks with the premier when she directed him to undertake a project for improving the living standards of the enclave dwellers.
