DU online admission process begins tomorrow
The online admission process for the first year honours admission tests for 2016-17 academic sessions of Dhaka University (DU) will begin tomorrow and will continue till September 7.
DU Vice Chancellor AAMS Arefin Siddique will inaugurate the admission process at 10:00am at central admission office of the university, said a press release.
According to the schedule, the admission tests of ‘Kha (B) Unit’ will be held on September 23, ‘Ga (C) Unit’ on September 30, ‘Ka (A) Unit’ on October 21 and ‘Gha (D) Unit’ on October 28.
The General Knowledge part of admission test for Cha Unit (Faculty of Fine Arts) will be held on September 24 and the Drawing part on October 1, the release read.
This year, students are required to have a minimum GPA 8.0 to apply for Ka unit, 7.0 for Kha unit, 7.5 for Ga unit, and 6.5 for Cha unit, combining SSC and HSC with the additional subject.
To apply for ‘Gha (D) Unit’, students from Science group require a minimum GPA of 8.0 while students from Humanities group require 7.0 and from Business Studies group require 7.5 according to the release.
The admission test fee for a single unit is fixed at Tk 350 including bank service charge and online admission fee.
The decisions were taken at a general meeting today at Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate building with the DU VC in the chair.
