Education sector in ACC’s action plan for 2018
Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) today rolled out its action plan for 2018 where it says curbing graft in the country’s education sector will be on its prime agenda.
“We will focus on curbing graft in the education sector in 2018,” ACC’s Chairman Iqbal Mahmud told reporters today at the commission’s Segunbagicha office.
“By 2030, the working population will increase significantly. We want to educate them properly. That’s why we will crackdown on corruption in the education sector,” he said.
The ACC has already taken steps, recommending the government to take action against some coaching centres and teachers of reputed institutions involved in coaching business.
