Govt fails to provide security to people: Ershad

Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ershad today alleged that the government has completely failed to provide security of the country’s people and stop terrorist attacks.

Ershad, also a special envoy to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, was speaking at an anti-militancy rally organised by Jatiya Party in front of its central office at Kakrail in Dhaka.

The JP chief also called upon the government to sit with all political parties to find out ways for tackling militancy in the country.

“There is no security of people’s lives as the government has failed to provide them security. No such killings and terror attacks occurred during my tenure,” Ershad said.

“We will continue our movement until peace is restored in the country,” he added. 

“Common people are unsafe. Foreigners are being killed. What might be more shameful for the country than this,” the JP chief inquired.
