Hoshi murder: JMB man confesses involvement
A member of Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) confessed his involvement in the killing of Japanese national Kunio Hoshi before a Rangpur court today.
Senior Judicial Magistrate Md Shafiul Alam recorded the confessional statement of Isahak Ali, 25, under section 164, reports our Rangpur correspondent.
The operative of the banned militant outfit was produced before the court around 7:00pm, ABM Zahidul Islam, officer-in-charge (OC) and also the investigation officer of the case, told The Daily Star.
Isahak was placed on an eight-day remand on December 8 to interrogate him in the Kunio Hoshi killing case, said public prosecutor Abdul Malek.
Kaunia police arrested Isahak, of Tangailpara village under Pirgachha upazila of the district, on December 7 with the help of Pirgachha police.
Kunio Hoshi, 66, was gunned down by unknown assailants at Alutary village of Kaunia upazila on October 3 this year.
