Habiganj bus strike called off

The indefinite strike called by Habiganj Motor Owners’ Group was withdrawn nine hours after they enforced it.

The bus strike was called protesting a barricade on a road placed by CNG-run auto-rickshaws as they wait at the point for refueling their vehicles at M Hai & Company Filling Station, reports our Moulvibazar correspondent quoting Shankha Shubhra Ray, general secretary of the group.

Following assurance of the local administration the group called off the strike around 3:00pm, said Shubhra.

No buses left or entered Habiganj district in nine hours since 6:00am.
