Jubo Sanghati activist found dead in Habiganj

An activist of Jubo Sanghati, the youth wing of Jatiya Party, was found dead in Habiganj today.

The body of Rafique Mia, 31, chief of the organisation’s Bahubal upazila’s Mirpur union unit, was found in the upazila’s Baro Awlia around 12:30pm, our Moulvibazar correspondent reports.

“He was missing since last midnight,” said his brother Sadique Mia. “This morning, we searched everywhere and found his clothes in a nearby field beside our house.”

On information, police recovered the body, said Mosharraf Hossain, officer-in-charge of Bahubal Police Station. The police official could not say anything about the motive of the murder.
