KSA keen to recruit more workers from Bangladesh

Saudi Arabia has expressed its willingness to recruit more male workers and trained female domestic workers from Bangladesh to meet up the demand of their domestic market.

The Arabian country is also keen to hire professionals such as doctors and engineers from Bangladesh, the Bangladesh embassy in Riyadh said in a press release today.

The KSA conveyed its keenness to Minister for Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment Nurul Islam while he had a bilateral meeting with Saudi Minister for Labour Mufarrej bin Saad Al-Haqbani in Riyadh today.

The minister has been leading a five-member delegation comprising the secretary, director general, BMET and other senior officials from the ministry. 

The Bangladesh delegation is visiting the Kingdom from December 29 to January 3, 2015.

Saudi Minister for Labour Mufarrej Al-Haqbani expressed his country’s willingness to work together in the area of human resource development and recruitment for mutual benefits at the bilateral meeting, the press release added.

He referred that both countries had agreed to cooperate in this manpower sector through signing of an agreement in February this year and hoped that this visit would facilitate to improve cooperation in manpower sector between the two countries.

The Bangladesh minister termed relations between the two countries a time tested and deep rooted one with common history, faith, culture and religion.
