Major reshuffle in police admin

In a major reshuffle in the police administration, 21 superintendents of police (SPs) were given new postings.

The home ministry today issued a notification in this regard.

According to the notification, Moinul Haque, SP of Mymensingh was transferred as SP of Narayanganj; Syed Nurul Islam, Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) was transferred as SP of Mymensingh; Md Mahbub Alam, DC of DMP was transferred as SP of Tangail; Md Anisur Rahman, assistant inspector general (AIG) of Police Headquarter Dhaka was transferred as SP of Meherpur; Md Mijanur rahman, SP of Bandarban was transferred as SP of Rangpur; Sanjit Kumar Roy, additional deputy commissioner (ADC) was promoted as SP of Bandarban; Altaf Hossain, SP of Jhenidah was transferred as SP Satkhira; Mijanur Rahman, ADC of Gazipur was promoted as SP Jhenidah; Moajjem hossain Bhuyan DC of Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) was transferred SP of Rajshahi; Nur E Alam Mina, SP of Sylhet was transferred as SP of Chittagong; Md Moniruzzaman, Special SP of Special Branch was made SP of Sylhet; Nizamul Haq Mollah, SP of Bagerhat was made SP of Khulna; Pankaj Chhandra Roy, SP of Railway Range of Dhaka made SP Bagerhat; TM Mojahidul Islam, SP of Lalmonirhat transferred as Chapainababganj; SM Rashidul Haq, commandant of RRF of Rangpur was made SP of Lalmonirhat; Hamidul Alam, SP of Meherpur was transferred as SP of Dinajpur; Ruhul Amin, SP of Dinajpur was transferred as AIG at police headquarter, Dhaka; Jayedul Alam, ADC of DMP was promoted as SP of Munshiganj; Biplob Bijoy Talukdar, SP of Munshiganj was made SP of Natore; Shyamaol Kumar Mukharjee, SP of Natore was transferred as DC of DMP; Shah Mijan Shafiur, DC of DMP was made SP of Dhaka.

In Mymensingh, the transfer will take effect after the announcement of schedule and completion of 10th by-election for constituencies 146 and 148.

In Dinajpur, the transfer will take effect after the announcement of schedule and completion of municipality election.
