‘IS man’ on 5-day remand

A Dhaka court today placed a suspected member of Islamic State (IS) on a five-day remand in a case filed under Anti-Terrorism Act.

Faiyaz Ishmam Khan was arrested by detectives in Cantonment area of Dhaka last night.

Metropolitan Magistrate Md Hafibul Haque passed the order after inspector of Detective Branch of police Rafiqul Islam placed him before the court with a 10-day remand prayer.

A total of 17 suspected IS members have so far been detained across the country during the last six month, DB source said.
