Man held over killing 3 daughters
Police arrested a man in the port city of Chittagong early today on charge of killing his three daughters in Chakaria upazila of Cox’s Bazar a few days ago.
The arrestee was identified as Abdul Gani, 38.
Tipped off, law enforcers picked up Goni from Bagdad lane in the city around 5:00am, said Prabash Chandra Dhar, officer-in-charge of Chakaria Police Station.
During primary interrogation, Gani confessed his involvement in the triple murders, added the OC.
However, police are taking preparation to produce him before the court, he said.
Abdul Gani, 38, a father of four children, allegedly stabbed his three minor daughters to death over family feud at Chowdhurypara village of Badarkhali in Cox's Bazar early Friday.
The deceased were identified as Ayesha Siddiqua Champa, 11; Shiru Jannat Sheuli, 9; and one-and-a-half-year-old Sharaban Tahura Baily.
