Man stabbed dead in Satkhira

A young man was stabbed to death and two others injured in Basantapur area of Kalaroa upazilla of Satkhira this afternoon.

The deceased was identified as Abdul Mannan, 23, son of Ismail Hossain Gazi of Dattakona village of Monirampur upazilla of Jessore.

“Shaju Hossain, son of Sherali Hossain of Basantapur village, stabbed Abdul Mannan with a sharp weapon, leaving him dead on the spot,” Abu Saleh Md Masud Karim, officer-in-charge (OC) of Kalaroa Police Station, told our Satkhira correspondent.

Two people, police constable Komolesh and UP member Joydeb, were also injured while trying to nab Shaju after the incident, he said.

Police arrested Shaju from the spot, he added.

No case was file in this connection till filling this report.
