Medical admission tests on September: Minister

Entry tests for admission in MBBS and BDS courses for 2016-17 academic sessions will be held in coming September, Health Minister Mohammad Nasim said today.

The minister announced it while addressing a view exchange meeting at his office, reports Bangla daily Prothom Alo.

The health ministry arranged the programme to discuss about the admission process of medical colleges, dental colleges, units and institutes this year.

Bangla daily Samakal Editor Golam Sarwar, noted columnist Syed Abul Maksud, Bangladesh Medical Association (BMA) President Dr Mahmud Hasan, Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BMDC) President Prof Mohammod Shahidullah and top officials from Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) and health ministry attended the meeting.

Nasim, also a presidium member of ruling Awami League, sought suggestions from the participants while director general of the Directorate General of Health Services, Deen Md Nurul Huq, described the steps to hold the entry test peacefully and without chaos.
