Missing Natore sports officer in CID custody

The “missing” sports officer in-charge of Natore and Pabna districts, Raqibul Hassan, has been located.

According to Bangla daily Prothom Alo, he is in the custody of Criminal Investigation Department (CIA) over allegations of question leak of Dhaka University admission tests.

The daily reports, CID officers have detained him and taken him to Dhaka. He is currently under interrogation.

Natore Gurudaspur Police Station Officer-in-Charge Dillip Kumar Das told the daily that Raqibul has been arrested on the basis of intelligence and has been taken to Dhaka for questioning.

He cited CID officials to say that Raqibul, 29, is being suspected over the question leak in Dhaka University admission examinations. His bank accounts are under scrutiny.

Natore district police Superintendent Biplob Bijoy Talukder told the daily that Raqibul did not go missing and that he was under CID custody for questioning.

Raqibul went missing from Natore’s Gurudaspur upazila last Sunday.
