Murder accused flees from DMCH

A murder case accused this morning fled from Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where he was undergoing treatment under police custody.
Tajud Khan, 30, an accused in a murder case filed with Atpara police station in Netrakona district, had been admitted to ward no-102 of the hospital on October 8, Sentu Chandra Das, assistant sub-inspector at DMCH police camp, told The Daily Star.
He somehow managed to escape from the hospital in the morning, the police official also said adding that police started a hunt for him after the incident came to their notice around 7:10am.
Tajud was injured during a clash in Atpara on October 8 that left one Mushfiqur Rahman Tuhin dead.
He was held after a murder case was filed against him with Atpara police station over the clash, said Farook Ahmed, officer-in-charge of Atpara police station.
