NBR official held in Chittagong over graft case
The Anti-Corruption Commission arrested an official of the National Board of Revenue (NBR) from Chittagong this morning for amassing wealth illegally and concealing wealth statement.
Abdul Momin Majumder, a revenue officer of Gulshan north circle in Dhaka, was arrested in Agrabard area of the port city around 10:00am, our Chittagong staff correspondent reports.
The case was filed against him with Kotwali Police Station in Comilla yesterday for amassing wealth worth over Tk 1.26 crore and concealing wealth equivalent to Tk 40.43 lakh through corruption, said Mosharraf Hossain, deputy director of ACC Chittagong zone.
