New British High Commissioner Designate arrives

Alison Blake, the British High Commissioner Designate to Bangladesh has arrived in Dhaka today.

She succeeds Robert W Gibson. 

Alison Blake joined the British Civil Service in 1989 and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in 1996. Her immediate past posting was in Islamabad as the Deputy British High Commissioner.

"I am delighted and deeply honoured to be taking up my new position as British High Commissioner in Dhaka,” she said on the note of her appointment in Bangladesh.

“I am committed to strengthening the long and friendly bilateral relationship and look forward to further developing our extensive cooperation between the two countries.”
