Pakistani band Kaavish to perform in Dhaka for the first time
Pakistani band Kaavish, renowned for their soulful tracks like "Bachpan" and "Tere Pyar Mein," is set to make their debut performance in Dhaka. Known for blending semi-classical elements with contemporary music, the band enjoys immense popularity across Pakistan, India, and Bangladesh.
Excitement about their arrival surged after a video message from Kaavish was shared during the "Dhaka Retro" concert on November 15. Fans have since been eagerly anticipating the chance to experience their live performance.
While speculation arose on whether Kaavish would indeed perform in Dhaka, these doubts were addressed by Adil Awan, the band's representative, who confirmed the news to Daily Prothom Alo.
The concert is being organised by Blue Brick Communication, the same team behind the successful "Dhaka Retro" event. Tarek Hossain, head of Admin at Blue Brick Communication, shared that the performance is planned for either late this year or January 2025.
Before their Dhaka show, Kaavish is scheduled to perform at the "Coke Studio Live" concert in Dubai on December 8, alongside renowned artistes such as Kaifi Khalil and Abdul Hannan.
Formed in 1998 by Jaffer Zaidi and Maaz Maudood, Kaavish is celebrated for their unique semi-classical sound that resonates with audiences across generations.
