2 Bangladeshis killed in Kolkata road crash

Two Bangladeshis were killed in India's Kolkata after two private cars collided head-on and one of the cars hit the duo along with some pedestrians waiting at the nearby traffic point.

The victims are identified as Moinul Alam, hailing from Jhenidah, and Farhana Islam, hailing from Mohammadpur area of Dhaka, our Kolkata correspondent reports quoting police sources of Shakespeare Police Station.

The incident occurred around 1:50am at Shakespeare Sharani and the two Bangladeshi citizens were waiting there owing to the rain, police said.

The investigation into the incident has already started.
