Four youths were arrested with a foreign made pistol from Akhaura upazila of Brahmanbaria today.

The arrestees are -- Mahi Al Mamun Sarkar, 21, Al Amin, 25, Azhar Ali, 19 and Rasel Sarkar, 21, our Brahmanbaria correspodent reports quoting police.

Police arrested them from Masjidpara area of ​​Akhaura municipality around 2:30 am, said Mossarrof Hossain Tarafder, officer-in-charge of Akhaura Police Station.

On information that four youths on a black colour private car were roaming suspiciously in Masjidpara area around 2:30am, a police team rushed to the spot and recovered a pistol and two rounds of bullets searching the car, said the OC.

Police arrested the four youths and they were sent to jail by a Brahmanbaria Court this afternoon, he said.

The arrestees have been sued under the Arms Act, added the OC.
