A man, who was burnt in an arson attack in Magura, died at Dhaka Medical College and Hospital this morning.

Mohammad Imran Mollah, 25, succumbed at the burn unit around 6:00am, said Nayek Mozammel Hossain of the DMCH police camp.

The arson attack took place when pro-hartal activists hurled two petrol bombs at a truck on the Magura-Jessore highway hours before the 72-hour countrywide hartal sponsored by the BNP-led 20-party alliance began on March 22.

At least 94 people have been killed so far in the mindless violence that has ensued since the non-stop nationwide blockade enforced by the alliance since January 6.
